Lonesome Traveler, a bluegrass band from Fort Collins Colorado travels in an airport diesel shuttle bus converted to run on straight vegetable oil. They collect spent vegetable oil from Chinese restaurants and fast food joints along the road as they tour America.

*Saturday January 23*,* 2010* the bluegrass band *Lonesome Traveler* will perform on the LAFTA stage,at 7:30 pm on the third floor in the 7th street loft located at 7th and K streets. Lonesome Traveler is a six-piece acoustic band from Colorado's front range with a bluegrass driver's license, a certificate of songwriting, and a sheriff's badge of cool. The band members are Jodi Boyce (mandolin/vocals), Evan Neal (upright bass/vocals), Rick Scott (guitar/vocals), Dustin Scott (guitar/vocals), Chad Fisher (fiddle/vocals/mandolin), and Ansel Foxley (resonator guitar/vocals). Featuring tight two- and three-part harmonies and
scintillating instrumentals on traditional and original tunes as it mines the rich vein of Americana bluegrass, folk, blues, country, and Celtic sounds it is easy to see the talent that earned Lonesome Traveler second place finishes in both the Telluride and Rockygrass band contests. Although tis is the first time LAFTA has featured the group, they have played in Lincoln before.
